The City of Angels produces benefit concerts for charities:
Over a million kids have been displaced by the recent American Disasters. The City of Angels and The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles have quickly organized a relief campaign with Whole Kids Foundation, who has done outstanding work and helped millions of kids every year have access to healthy food at school. Whole Kids Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) founded by Whole Foods Market.
We need to find local artists who are willing to join the effort. The ask is simple, play at the Wiltern – we will cover your necessary reasonable costs for bands, roadies, sound check etc.- donate the rest to Whole Kids Foundation. Please bear in mind that Puerto Rico is desperate, as are the other afflicted areas. When kids are able to be back in school our goal is to make sure it is a healthy environment and to offer schools resources to feed kids healthier food options.
The Event is scheduled for hold dates at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles,CA.
The dates for the event are dependent on the availability of talent. It is anticipated there will be a series of concerts extending through 2018. Last year, The Strokes helped us DONATE over $250,000. This year we anticipate adding live streaming of the concert to assist Whole Kids Foundation to rebuild school cafeterias to feed kids nutritious meals.
